FireAngel wins contract from Glasgow-based Queens Cross Housing Association

Thursday, 29th November 2018
Home safety products supplier FireAngel said Thursday it had signed a contract to supply Glasgow-based Queens Cross Housing Association with over 12,000 battery powered smoke and heat alarms.

The smoke alarms and heat alarms would be installed in over 3,500 properties across the city centre ahead of the Scottish Government's anticipated legislative changes, expected to be introduced in 2019, the company said.

Under the new legislation, all homes would require sealed long-life battery or mains wired alarms. A carbon monoxide alarm would also need to be fitted in each room with a carbon-fuelled appliance or flue.

The 'Wi-Safe 2' wireless interlink alarms from FireAngel would ensure that each property achieved constant compliance through the use of 'interlinked alarms installed in the kitchen, hallway and living room,' the company said.
